Welcome to LESSON (Less-On) Lab

LESSON lab is a research group specializing in medical physics, with the name conveying our motivations: 1) 'Lesson' reflects the outcome gained from learning and training, and 2) 'Less-on' signifies the pursuit of solutions that invole minimal yet meaningful elements or groups. Our primary focus is on tackling the complex challenges that arise in the context of radiation treatment and treatment-preparation tasks with the aid of learning-based approaches and computational optimizing algorithms. We are currently developing 1) treatment plan optimization algorithms for the new therapeutic modalities, 2) new learning-based networks for medical image processing, and 3) outcome predictive models in relation to radiotherapy treatment.
